The Infinite Dvorak Deck is an ever-expanding card game, which anyone can add cards to. There's no coherent theme, and cards can be original, inspired by anything, copied from other Dvorak decks, or even dragged in verbatim from other card games.
The only rules to adding cards are:-
- Don't add more than three cards at a time; give someone else a chance to add some, before you add any more. And make sure you put your cards at the bottom of the page.
- Don't change other people's cards. If something seems ambiguous or broken, tell them on the talk page. (There's an option to filter specified users' cards out when you export the deck to play with, so don't worry too much if someone's cards are irredeemably unplayable.)
- Cards shouldn't refer to other cards. Remember that the deck is infinite! Cards should avoid making any specific references to other cards or mechanics, because they might never see those specific cards during play, particularly if you think of the deck as infinite. You should word your mechanics as generically as possible - a fishing rod card that said "gain control of a fish" would be useless in a game where no fish cards came up, whereas one that said "gain control of a living Thing" would probably see some use in any game that it got drawn in.
- (A good test is to open a random archive page of the Infinite Dvorak Deck, and see how many of its cards your new card could apply to. If there are only one or two cards that you could play it on, then you should probably word it more generically.)
- No special rules. This deck has no Special Rules aside from the two described below; it's all on the cards. Cards should not create Special Rules (or any equivalent "invisible" effect that significantly outlives the lifetime of the card); players should only have to read the cards on the table to know what's going on.
- Values in the corners of cards are meaningless, unless there's another card in play that somehow gives them meaning.
Whenever anyone's feeling insane enough to play a game of it, they can export it to the Dvorak Engine, or possibly Apprentice (if it's possible to make decks that contain every card of a set).
Special Rules
The only rules that this deck uses in addition to the basic Dvorak rules are:-
- Tokens exist. Some cards can create or destroy or manipulate "tokens", which you should represent with whatever coins or counters you have to hand. Tokens count as Things, but if a token is destroyed or otherwise removed from play, it's removed from the game entirely. Tokens usually have individual types (such as "Energy" or "Goblin"); if a token has a type, that's also considered to be its name, otherwise its name is just "Token".
- If there's an ambiguity, vote on it. For example: if a card says to destroy a "living" Thing, and a player is wondering if it'll work against a "zombie" card, the players should take a vote to determine whether or not the zombie counts as living. If a majority decision can't be reached, resolve it randomly.
Selected Sets
If you'd prefer a more compact subset of the deck, you may appreciate one of the following:
Superpower set, Token set, Pokédex, Adiart Inhabitants, Money set.

Thing
Whenever you draw your second card in a turn, discard a random card and draw two cards.
Through you, new directions to explore are revealed.
#11001
Thing
When an opponent chooses one or more cards from the deck, the discard pile, or another player's hand, you view the cards they are choosing from. You may choose for them.
You ruin decisions.
#11002
Needs More Sauce
Action
Put target tangible Thing under a living Thing you control, face-down and out of play.
#11003
It's Honest Work
Thing
Whenever you play a card, roll a d6: if you roll a 1 or 2, gain that many Money tokens.
#11004
Stranded
Action
Turn target Thing face-down until the end of your next turn. If its controller would discard any cards while it is face-down, it is the first one discarded.
#11005
Light/Space: Lonely Rolling Star
Action - Fraymotif
If there is only one Thing in play, draw four cards if you control it, and gain control of it if you don't.
Singular importance, developed.
#11006
Thing
Action: Discard a Thing card. If you do, reveal cards from the top of the deck until you reveal a Thing card and put it into your hand. Discard the other revealed cards.
Through you, lands are reshaped.
#11007
Thing
At the end of your turn, gain an Energy token or a copy of another token you control.
Action: Spend 5 tokens of the same type to draw until you have 5 cards in hand. You may draw cards from the top of the discard pile this way.
You bring vitality to those around you.
#11008
War and Peace
Thing
This card is considered to contain the entire text of War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy.
#11009
Thing
At any time, you may reveal a card from your hand that you have not previously revealed for Binary Magic's purpose. If the only digits in that card's cornervalue are 0 or 1, draw 1 card. If the only digits in that card's number are 0 or 1, draw 10 cards.
#11010
Stream Cipher
Thing
Opponents' cards may not prevent you from drawing. If an opponent would view or force you to discard a card you draw or hold in your hand, they instead discard a card and end their turn.
#11011
Action - Fraymotif
Target opponent can't draw cards during their next turn. Target opponent can't play Things during their next turn. Target opponent can't play Actions during their next turn. Repeat one of the preceding sentences.
When freedom runs out.
#11012
Thing
At the end of your turn, flip another non-token Thing you control face-down. Then if you control four face-down Things, you gain "At the end of your turn, you may destroy target Thing you control and target Thing you don't control." if you don't already have that text.
Through you, many relinquish their significance.
#11013
Thing
When Mage of Heart enters play, each opponent reveals two cards from their hand. Put one card revealed this way into your hand.
You see in others what they do not recognize in themselves.
#11014
Leave It All Behind
Action
You may move all Things you control to the discard pile.
You may discard your hand and draw five cards.
If you do neither, end your turn.
If you do both, begin your turn.
#11015
Leave It All on the Field
Action
Play up to three cards, then discard your hand.
#11016
Leave It All to Chance
Thing
Turn: Do the following three times. Flip a coin: on heads, draw a card. On tails, flip a coin to play a random Action (heads) or Thing (tails) in your hand.
#11017
Breath/Void: Wise Guy Waltz
Action - Fraymotif
Each player adds a blank untitled Action to their hand.
Until your next turn, targets are chosen randomly, and the first time each opponent would play a card or ability, they instead play a random card from their hand.
Frivolous ideas and bad luck.
#11018
Thing
Whenever you play a card, draw a card and end your turn.
When you discard down to your maximum hand size, destroy one target Thing for each card you discarded. At least one target must have Doom in its title or cornervalue.
You hold back your full power until the time comes to exceed it.
#11019
Thing
Each player may activate Action and/or Thing Abilities of each Thing in play as though they controlled it.
Through you, everyone's horizons are widened.
#11020
Run Roughshod
Action
Turn target Thing controlled by an opponent face-down until the end of their next turn. They may discard a card. If they do not, view their hand and choose a card in it for them to set aside until the end of their next turn.
#11021
Haunted Photograph
Thing
When this enters play, its ruletext is considered to become the ruletext of every living Thing in play or in hand.
#11022
Own Goal
Action
Destroy a Thing you control.
#11023
Doom/Rage: Nightmare Vamp
Action - Fraymotif
Target opponent discards a card. Return this card to your hand and discard another card. If you have no other cards, end your turn.
Torment that drags down.
#11024
Thing
When Sylph of Time enters play, each player may destroy a Thing they control.
If a player would skip a turn or take an extra turn, you may put Sylph of Time in the discard pile instead.
Through you, time heals.
#11025
Thing
At the start of your turn, target opponent draws two cards. Look at their hand and put a card from it into your hand, then discard a card.
You rob others of their commitment to their plans.
#11026
What's the Hurry?
Reaction
Play immediately in response to an opponent's Action to delay its effect until the beginning of their next turn.
#11027
Discombobulation
Thing
Play into any player's control.
When an Action you play would target anything, destroy Discombobulation and choose its target at random instead.
#11028
Auto-Destruct Sequence Engaged
Action
Play into target player's control as a Thing, attaching as many Countdown tokens as their other non-token Things.
At the beginning of your turn, destroy a Countdown token. When you have none, destroy all of your Things.
#11029
Life/Heart: Pulsing Chorale
Action - Fraymotif
Gain a Heart token and draw a card. Each player draws a card for each Thing they control with Heart in its title, type, or cornervalue.
The beating of every heart.
#11030
Thing
When a coin is flipped, the result is Tails. When a die is rolled, the result is 1.
Whenever you play an Action, until your next turn, players' Actions have their targets chosen by the player preceding them.
Through you, fortune abandons its post.
#11031
Thing
Once during your turn, you may choose one: Things can't be returned to their controller's hands until your next turn.
OR each other player passes a Thing they control to next player in turn order, not including yourself.
OR return another Thing you control and target Thing to their controller's hands.
You animate the chains that hold things together.
#11032
A Case of the Sillies
Action
Target player is seized by fits of uncontrollable giggles! They discard a random card, draw a card, and then reveal a card in their hand. Each player may choose to play the revealed card. For each who does, the giggler draws a card.
#11033
Can't Wait
Thing
Action: Look at the top card of the draw pile and move it Up Your Sleeve. The next time you would draw a card, you draw it.
#11034
Galeforce
Thing
Once during your turn, when you draw any number of cards after your first of the turn, you may play one of them immediately without cost.
#11035
Action - Fraymotif
Put the cards in your hand on top of your deck (if you don't have a deck, those cards become your deck). Look at twice that many cards plus three from the top of the main deck. Discard two of them, put half the rest rounded up into your hand, then shuffle the rest into your deck.
Far-reaching schemes.
#11036
Thing
At the start of each player's turn (after drawing), they draw the bottom card of the discard pile. If an opponent's card would cause you to lose the game, that opponent loses the game instead.
Through you, all life flows.

View three random cards in target opponent's hand. Put a copy of one into your hand and set aside a copy of another. A different opponent does the same. Reveal to each other the cards you set aside and agree on one of them to put a copy of into both of your hands. Discard the other.

Thing
Action: Gain a Money token.
When a player plays a card, they may spend a Money token and discard a card to draw a card.
Once during a player's turn, they may spend two Money tokens to draw two cards, then discard one of them if they have more cards in hand then Money tokens.
#11167
Action
Draw two cards and gain 4 Money tokens. Set this card aside face-up.
- If your playgroup plays another game of Dvorak after this one, instead of returning this card to the deck, start the game with one extra card in your opening hand and 2 Money tokens.
Now don't spend it all in one lifetime.
#11168
Thing
At the start of your turn, gain one Money token for each player. Then, if you have at least 5 times as many Money tokens as there are players, give each opponent a card from your hand and destroy this card.
PROJECT UPDATE: I know there's been delays, but we are on track to ship in April by the end of this year next summer!

A Watchful Partnership
Thing
When you play this, attach two living Things you control to it. While both remain attached, they and A Watchful Partnership are indestructible, and you may not be prevented from drawing cards.
#11170
Strike Before Tea
Action
Destroy target living Thing. At the end of your turn, pause the game for refreshments. Each player gains a Tea token.
#11171
Poised at Stumps
Action
The game hangs in the balance, but chances seem fairly even. Each player who does not control the most Things may play a Thing face-down and draw a card; they flip it face-up on their next turn. This turn, while you control fewer Things than the player with the most, you may play any number of Things in this way and draw a card for each; flip one face-up on each of your next turns.
#11172
Thing
Action: Look at the top card of the deck. You may either discard it or have target opponent shuffle that card into their deck (if they don't have a deck, that card becomes their deck). If they do, gain two Money tokens and shuffle Itinerant Grifter into your deck.
#11173
Thing
When Heiress enters play, gain 4 Money tokens, then create two blank Thing cards named Gem and shuffle them into your deck (if you don't have a deck, those cards become your deck).
Before discarding down to your max hand size at the end of your turn, draw a card if any Money tokens or Gems entered your control this turn.
#11174
Action
Deal the discard pile amongst each player, starting to your left. Each player puts those cards and each Thing they control on the bottom of their decks ordered by card number, highest on bottom, unnumbered cards on top in any order (if a player doesn't have a deck, those cards become their deck).
#11175
Get Around To It

Don't Sell Your Heart
Thing
You may not be eliminated. At the beginning of your turn, transfer this to a player with fewer Money tokens if possible. A player with more Money tokens than their opponents combined may not win and may not destroy this.
#11182
Wonderful Party
Action
Each player draws an Action from the draw pile, shuffling other cards seen in the process back into the pile. Each player reveals an Action from their hand, and a Thing if possible. Each player whose Action does not have the fewest words plays their revealed Thing and allows their opponents to choose another of their Things to return to their hand. Each player draws a copy of Party Popper (#8449) and Rest (#4902).
#11183
The Name on the Stone
Thing
This cannot be destroyed by a player with any letters on The Stone. When a player destroys an opponent's Thing, they inscribe a letter; players who have done so before this entered play begin with one letter inscribed. A player may discard/destroy a card of theirs that can destroy an opponent's Thing to strike a letter from The Stone. A player who completes the length of their name on The Stone is eliminated.
#11184
