Actually I just had the idea that the game's gameplay concept is not so playable.
Because:
first you need to collect cards
not just any cards, but cards that can make a sentence
even then, they have to be of the same element/type for you to use them
Consequences:
1 it takes a lot of time to make a usable 'card' - this also means if you create a usable card first, you have an unfair advantage over other players
2 you can't make certain sentences if they don't share elements
Solution:
1 don't use a keyword/element system, any card can combine with any other card
or
2 use a keyword system, but then the cards should already be 'complete' cards, so usable without combining cards. The purpose of the keywords is then that you gain extra advantages or you need to combine them to use them (example: battery+flashlight to 'unlock' flashlight)
What do you think? Has anyone tested the deck so far?

Sounds interesting... what is the gameplay like?

Natanz 14:20, 1 July 2008 (BST)

Things will have keywords telling what they can combine with. Example: Charizard - Fire, Dragon, Flying. Other than that I have less than or equal to no idea. Yet.--ChippyYYZ 17:02, 1 July 2008 (BST)

Feel free to add any cards you think would be good. Things can come from Anywhere.--ChippyYYZ 17:16, 1 July 2008 (BST)

If you want to add a card that might be considered a bit silly, that's fine.--ChippyYYZ 04:25, 6 July 2008 (BST)

Suggestions:

1 Use only 4 keywords (maybe 5). Else you end up with many cards that can't combine.

2 You could call the keywords 'elements'.

3 Action card: Forced combine: combine two things that don't share a keyword/element.

New idea: Each thing has an Element and a Type that serve as its keywords.
Dark Magician - Dark, Wizard.--ChippyYYZ 21:59, 6 July 2008 (BST)

That's a good idea, you mean this, right?

Example

Cheetah Element: life Type: fast

Hurricane Element: air Type: fast

So you can combine these because the type is the same.

Natanz 12:09, 7 July 2008 (BST)

Yup. And thanks for forced combine.--ChippyYYZ 15:40, 7 July 2008 (BST)

Idea for Elements/Types:

Elements and Types can be combined and discombined whenever you want. This way if you get attacked for example, you can combine/discombine and create a defense.

Types automatically get discombined when you use them - they are a weaker link. Maybe this is a bad idea, it needs to be tested.

You can create an action from combined things, but then you must destroy one of the cards after use/shuffle it in the draw pile/to discard pile/give it to opponent.

I like the idea of this game and have a Forest element set to add:

{{card|title=Donkey Kong |type=Thing|creator=Soniccuz|text=forest, Animal.<BR>"one"}} {{card|title=Bamboo Stick |type=Thing|creator=Soniccuz|text=forest, Item.<BR>"'''Action'''"}} {{card|title= Elf |type=Thing|creator=Soniccuz|text=forest, Soldier.<BR>"'''Sacrifice'''"}} {{card|title=Johnny Appleseed|type=Thing|creator=Soniccuz|text=forest, Human.<BR>"Draw"}} {{card|title=Great Deku Tree |type=Thing|creator=Soniccuz|text=forest, Mind.<BR>"five"}}

will these do?

Soniccuz 06:22, 9 July 2008 (BST)

I like it. "one" however, is unnecessary.--ChippyYYZ 16:59, 9 July 2008 (BST)

Thank you, I think “destroy” works better for a DK card anyway. I'm surprised a water element hasn’t already been made.
