1. I thought this was included, but it may have been left out due to an oversight. The number in the box in the upper-right hand corner of each essence is the cost you must pay. Therefore, those with a cost of 0 require nothing to put into play and so on. This cost must be paid in essences of the same type (or, in the case of a multi-type essence, essences that match at least one of the types printed). Therefore, if you wanted to play |

- I read the rules, and there appear to be a few things missing.
- Overlap for cost Essences: what does it cost? Are there restrictions on what can be overlapped?
- Combat: how does it work? It it more complicated than "defender takes damage equal to attacker's Strength minus defender's Shield"?
- Critical hits: how do they work? Is that what you get when you attack and your opponent has no active essence?
