Talk:Intergalactic Fighting Tournament deck
Anyone else think the "Fighter [#]", the # should be moved to a cornervalue? I'm afraid to make the change in case a lot of people disagree. =) The T 00:26, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
- No, feel free - I had to make some arbitrary decisions when automating the process of converting old-format decks into wiki ones, and I'm sure there are a few decks where useful data could have gone into the cornervalue, but didn't. --Kevan 00:45, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
I very much like this deck, fun and simple without a ridiculous amount of special rules and it probably the closest thing to what the rules state (play 1 thing and 1 action etc.) but I feel like there aren't enough cards for a 3+ player game (barely enough for a 2 player game) but I'm afraid adding more would take away from its simplicity. I also think its a bit unbalanced to where karate is favored over the blackbelt and ninja are more favored having more cards.
How many of each card is there suppose to be? Because B4-8900 does not have many missles to "reload" and also I would think that Black Mage would have the most techniques.
I do like the doable alternate win (League Ownership) where it gives players a way out even if they are at the mercy of his opponent but it involves so many cards it might be a little obvious. I would add simple weaker techniques for both B4 8900 and Black Mage such as Fireball +1 (target player discards a card from his hand) and Machine Gun +1 (does not use your action for the turn) to help the drown the staff focusing the game on the fighting and giving non karate fighters more of a chance to get their technique and avoid technique hording. Lord of Dragons is my favorite way of winning by League Ownership but often times 5 rounds would come sooner than my victory and usually ending with very low KO counts.
Despite the short list (and I apologize if we are suppose to play with more than 1 of each card) it is one of my favorite decks next to All Your Base and Roman Politics. Aetherknight 04:49, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
