Special Rules
Clauses
Clauses are special effects or actions that are used in multiple places or are very long to explain, and are therefor not included on cards. A clause is referenced on a card by its name.
Dark Lord Clause: Dark Lord type M/S/Ts are special, superpowerful creations. They are generally the most powerful incarnations of evil. A Dark Lord is created through The One Ring or occassionally by other means.
- The Dark Lord Clause states that when a Dark Lord M/S/T is in play, no Light type cards may be played. When a Dark Lord type is created, all Magic - Light are destroyed, and all Light type M/S/Ts are afflicted with Poison 2.
Greater Evil Clause: One Ring Clause: The The Once Ring card was created to wreak havoc. It can never be destroyed in the traditional sense, as it always seeks a new master.
"The One Ring Clause states that when The One Ring is to be discarded, it is reshuffled into the draw deck. When a Wraith type, Sauron's Shadow or The Fellowship of the Ring are in play, those cards automatically equip The One Ring, precedence decreasing.
Special Types
Wraiths are immune to the effects of The One Ring. Zombies are immune to normal destruction. When a zombie is "destroyed" it is disabled for three turns and loses all afflictions (except zombification) and equiped Items. After three turns, it is reactivated and still afflicted with zombification. Zombies can only be destroyed with Revive, Exorcism, or by consumption. Zombification is not removed by Cure.
