To play Dvorak: Draw five cards each and leave the rest as a draw pile. On your turn, draw a card from the draw pile and play one Thing and/or one Action. (See the full rules.)

Special Rules

Matches

When a Match card is played, standard play pauses. The player of the card names an eligible opponent. Those two players resolve the Match, playing all Actions they choose. After all cards are played, each Save, Stop, or Block negates one opposing scoring card (or one Goal from a Striker rated for more). The minimum score is nil; an odd half-goal is discounted. The winner of the Match keeps the Thing card for the Match. (If the match is drawn, the Thing card is discarded.)

Early Round Match

Can only be played by a team with no Matches in play.
Home Match
Thing - Match
Player's team gets +1 Goal for resolving this Match.
Away Match
Thing - Match
Your opponent's team gets +1 Goal for resolving this Match.
Neutral Pitch Match

Prime-Time Match

If you win this Match, take an extra turn. Play then resumes with the player who should have been next.
Champions League Match

Turn one of your players face down (tired). They do not count during this Match.
Grudge Match

All Yellow Cards and Sent Off Cards played in this Match count as 1 Goal instead of their usual text.
Must-Win Match

Can only be played by a team with one Match in play, against an opponent with one Match in play.
Cup Final Match
Thing - Match
Can only be played by a team with two or more Matches in play, against an opponent with two or more Matches in play. The winner of this match wins the game.
Seconded to National Side
Action - Management
Turn any player in play face down. They do not count until their side finishes a Match.
Transfer
Action - Management
Search the draw pile for any player except a Superstar. Put that player into your hand.
Superstar Transfer
Action - Management
Search the draw pile for any player. Put that player into your hand.
Trade
Action - Management
Take a player in play from any opponent. Put it into play. Replace that player with one of yours from the table.
Contract Difficulties
Action - Management
Discard any one player in play.
Holdout
Action - Management
Return any one player in play to controller's hand. The victimised side also loses their next turn.
Litigation
Action - Management
Pick one player in play. The controller must put that player into play for a different side.
Sent Off
Action - Match
Turn any opponent in this Match face down. They do not count during this Match. 1/2 Goal.
