Epic War CCG is a Collectable Card Game created by Sterrence88. Simply it is a modern war game, where you get to choose your soldiers and various events, and battle out with your opponents. The point of the game is to destroy all of your opponents bases. Currently, the first set, Base Set is in the production phase. Check back for more cards and news info!
Special Rules
Prerequisites
Each player must own a deck of 60 cards plus 5 additional base cards (Which will not be counted as part of the deck, and will be on the battlefield to begin the game)
Rarities
There are currently 4 rarities in Epic Wazr CCG
Legendary
Rare
Uncommon
Common
Note that you can only have only 1 copy of a given Legendary card in your deck.
Harnessing and Units
At the begining of your turn, you can choose to put 1 card facedown in your "Unit Zone". The cards in this zone pay for the cost of your active soldiers. You pay the cost by turningt them sideways, or "harnessing" their power. For example, to play Tank A-10, which cost 4 units, you must harness 4 cards in your unit zone. If you do not do so, or do not have enough cards to harness, the card cannot be played.
Camo and Terrains
Although the usual stats appear in Epic War CCG (HP, Attack), there is also Camo. You can play terrains which tell you what camo it shields from attack. This applies to ALL soldiers on the field. The terrain is either desposed of when a new terrain is put in play, or 3 full turns are up. It does shield soldiers from regular damage or events, however.
Events
Events are the "Action" in Epic War CCG. You activate them, and an event takes place between target creatures/opponents. All Actions are Events, and can be played at any time as long as you have the correct cost for it.
Capturing Soldiers
When you would normaly do lethal damage to a soldier, you can choose to "capture" it instead. You take your opponents soldier and put it in your capture zone. Once in the captured zone, you could do many things with the soldier:
A: Declare you are holding it for a ransom and force your opponent to discard the amount of cards in his/her unit zone equal to the captured soldier's unit cost. If they turn down the offer, however, and not pay the cost and keep the card in the captured zone. The card, if freed, goes back into the battlefield.
B: Destroy the prisoner. However you must discard a card from your hand UNLESS a cards effect destroys the soldier.
C: Free the soldiers. Draw a card for each soldier freed.
Winning the Game
You win the game by clearing your opponents soldiers off the field and attacking all 5 bases until they are destroyed.
