Okay, I know it was well meant, but the whole e/eir thing is BLOODY annoying. But aside from that, seems like a pretty good deck. --Dragon, 24.1.05
Thanks. The Spivak pronouns do take a little getting used to, but I think it's worth it to save text space. A couple of books have been written using them, too. --Jeeves, 25.1.05
You could also use 'they' and 'their'. --James Hutchings, 3.2.05
I'm also in favor of they and their rather than e and eir. But really, it's not so annoying that I feel the need to demand change. ;) --Adamsk, 9.3.05
'They' and 'Their' definately sound better without much in the way of additional text. Another question, though: Why is this deck phrased and directed for 2-player play only? Why not more? --Twinge, 29.3.05
Good question (and sorry for the late response). We have tried it with 3, but the game seems to lose some dynamism that way since the cards are too widely distributed. When we did 3-player, we did it "attack-left" style (rather than cut-throat). With 2 players, the game is very dynamic -- meaning it shifts fortunes quickly and strategies can get deliciously convoluted. Try this game if you haven't already -- it's been very well tested and plays fast. = ) --Jeeves, 25.6.05
Oh, almost forgot! We're making an illustrated version, so look for that soon. We might even make some copies on cardstock available, as it's had a very positive response among some gaming groups here...but the original is ballpoint pen on green index cards cut in half. ;p --Jeeves, 25.6.05
Could the Moon special rule have just been printed on the card? --Chris Goodwin, 8.7.05
In the original deck, there's actually a huge moon picture occupying that space. Same with the World. --Jeeves, 11.7.05
