General Comments
Looks degenerate. Take a look at this deck and explain how anyone is supposed to win by a different method:
1x Midna (Active Commander)
8x Fused Shadow Piece 1
8x Fused Shadow Piece 2
8x Fused Shadow Piece 3
8x Fused Shadow Piece 4
7x Faroe's Statue
Usually wins by turn 4, having forced the opponent to discard their hand several times in the meantime.
The only counter I can see is for your opponent to Faroe's Statue you back, but use the 5-character win condition:
1x Midna (Active Commander)
11x any other available characters
8x Din Statue
20x Faroe Statue
which is just a slower version of the same deck. Given that this completely bypasses almost all the game mechanics, I take it that these two strategies weren't what you had in mind for this CCG set?-Bucky 20:18, 4 April 2009 (BST)
- Actually, it's not quite that bad since there's a 4x limit on each card. However, the theme decks don't seem to be following that restiction.-Bucky 20:28, 4 April 2009 (BST)
Uhh, I'm sure the Theme decks do follow that restriction - the only one that doesn't is Armoghoma's rage, because it has tonnes of Dominion cards. It does say on the rules that you can have as many of the dominion satues as you like, but i've noticed that I put in about 6 dominion rods. Sorry for the confusion; look here for the bit about the dominion statues. Other than that I like thee fused shadows deck you made; I might redo the Zant deck I made to follow a bit more how you did. So you've played the game then? Like it? Thanks --Jgr 94 14:19, 6 April 2009 (BST)
TRANSFORMATION/ATTACK
Note the new card types, transformations and attacks.
First, Transformations: All Transformations have, after their card type, the name of a character. The card is then played ontop of that character. E.G:
This is a fantastic example of what the new card type can do; it allows the user to put the effects of the transformation ontop of the character, giving it powerups or even a change of control. Their strength/endurance stay the same, unless the transformation card states otherwise. Their controller stays the same also, unless the transformation card states otherwise. NB: If an active commander changes control, it counts as it's owner having no active commander, so in effect, they lose. In this case with Ganon's Puppet, Zelda, if Zelda is the Good players active commander, the Good player would lose!
Now, Attacks
Attacks work in a similar way, in that they are placed ontop of the character named. A Character never forgets an attack, unless it is destroyed, so an attack cannot be removed from a character without desroying the character (unless a card states directly to destroy an activated attack).
EG:
This information is all written in the Card Types section of the instructions (Here) --Jgr 94 14:38, 6 April 2009 (BST)
Card Ideas
If you have an idea for a card or deck, leave your suggestions here. Just go onto edit, and start typing away below here. Please do not delete other peoples ideas or try to take credit for them. Feel free to put your name on it if you like, but in the Set it probably won't stay that way; I tried to put my account name on the bottoms of all the cards, but found the pictures took up too much room. I like having pictures on my cards, though, and don't plan on changing that :) --Jgr 94 14:41, 6 April 2009 (BST)
