Based around Bill Tomlinson's superb stop-motion animation "Shaft of Light". Robot drones trudge their way to the discard pile, but the Way is Blocked by beams of light. It is bad to be late.
Special Rules
Shafts of Light
Shafts of Light are played into your opponent's control, and can only can be stopped by Canopies - a Canopy stops all light below its wavelength. (Red only stops Red Light, Orange stops Red and Orange, Yellow stops Red, Orange, Yellow, and so forth up to White, which stops everything.)
Canopies
When a Canopy is played, it must be assigned to an existing Shaft of Light (multiple Canopies can be assigned to a single Shaft, if desired). If a Player has a Shaft of Light and no Canopy has been assigned to it, then The Way (for that Player) is Blocked.
The Way is Blocked
If The Way is Blocked for a Player, anyone may play Drones into their possession. If the Way is not Blocked for a Player, they may take an Action to send a Drone they control onwards to the discard pile.
It Is Bad To Be Late
If a Player has five or more Drones waiting, they lose the game.
