Règles
Règles Simplifiées
Pour votre première partie, si vous ne voulez pas jouer avec toute la complexité des règles, vous pouvez jouer avec les Règles Simplifiées pour commencer.
Cela vous permettra d'ignorer les règles concernant les cartes Aspect, les Rôles Transitionnels et les Titres.
Pour se faire, retirer du jeu :
- Les Histoires L'Elève a surpassé le Maître, Béni par les Anges, Couronnée d'Effroi, Unisson d'une Bande de Cinq et (Ré)apparition d'un Nouveau Nom
- Toutes les cartes Titre
- Toutes les cartes Aspect (elles deviennent un paquet secondaire, à l'exception de Prendre, Ecouler et Arracher qui sont complètement retirées du jeu)
- Les trois Rôles Transitionnels
- Les Choses Everdark et Sve Noc
- Les Actions Former un Ecuyer, Prendre un Apprenti, Aventure dans la Forêt de Brocéliande, Rêve de Nom et Désigner un Héritier
- Le Démon Démon d'Absence
Les cartes suivantes fonctionnent différement avec les Règles Simplifiées :
- La Méchante Catherine Foundling, "La Reine Noire" : Quand elle entre en jeu, piochez deux cartes Aspect du paquet secondaire. Elles deviennent ses Aspects. A n'importe quel moment, si aucun de ses Aspects n'a de marqueur, Catherine peut défausser tous ses Aspects et piocher deux nouvelles cartes Aspect du paquet secondaire.
- Le Héros Roland de Beaumarais, le Soricer Renégat :
- Confisquer(R): Piochez une carte Aspect du paquet secondaire. Elle devient liée à Roland et est détruite si Roland l'est, mais elle ne compte pas comme un des trois Aspects de Roland.
- L'Aspect Utiliser(R) fonctionne comme sur la carte.
Lisez les règles pour voir comment les Règles Simplifiées changent des Règles Complètes.
Préparer la partie
Vous devez imprimer les cartes de cette page. Vous avez besoin d'une pièce, d'un dé, et de marqueurs à mettre sur les cartes.
Au début de la partie, mélangez les différents paquet secondaires à part du paquet principal et à part les uns des autres. On ne peut piocher des cartes des paquets secondaires que dans certaines conditions.
Distribuez dix cartes du paquet principal à chaque joueur. Le reste des cartes va au milieu de la table en tant que pioche, et quand une carte est défaussée ou détruite, elle va dans la pile de défausse face visible.
Les paquets secondaires ont chacun leur propre défausse.
Règles Simplifiées : Distribuez seulement sept cartes à chaque joueur.
Condition de victoire
Pour gagner, vous devez contrôler 3 différentes Histoires complètes. Une Histoire est incomplète si elle a des marqueurs.
Jouer un tour
Phase Aspect
Retirer tous les marqueurs sur les Aspects de vos Rôles.
Phase de pioche
Au début de vore tour, choisissez entre :
- Piocher une carte (si la pioche est vide, mélanger la défausse et retournez-la pour faire une nouvelle pioche.)
- Défausser autant de cartes de votre main que vous voulez, et piocher autant de cartes.
Jouer des cartes
Chaque tour, vous pouvez jouer jusqu'à une Histoire, une Chose et une Action.
Fin du tour
A la fin du tour, vérifiez le nombre de cartes dans votre main; si vous avez plus de huit cartes, défaussez en jusqu'à en avoir huit.
Type de cartes
Histoire
Une Histoire :
- peut être jouée quand sa Condition est remplie et si vous contrôlez un Rôle.
- produit son Effet quand elle est jouée.
A l'instant même où vous ne contrôlez plus de Rôle, vous devez sacrifier toutes vos Histoires.
Action
Quand vous jouez une carte Action, elle fait son effet et va ensuite dans la défausse.
Chose
Quand vous jouez une carte Chose, elle va sur la table devant vous et reste en jeu. En général, elle a un effet utile tant qu'elle reste en jeu.
Certaines Choses disent "Action: [faire quelque chose]" - C'est un raccourci pour dire "au lieu de jouer une Action, le joueur qui contrôle cette carte peut [faire quelque chose]." (La carte Chose reste en jeu.) Ceci est une Action dans tous les sens du terme - une carte qui annule des Actions annulerait aussi un effet "au lieu de".
Exemple : Si une Chose dit "Action: Piochez deux cartes.", alors tant que cette carte reste en jeu, le joueur qui la contrôle peut choisir de ne pas jouer d'Action lors d'un tour, et de piocher deux cartes à la place.
Rôle
Rôle est un type de Chose particulier. C'est un terme géénérique qui englobe Méchants, Héros, Rôles Transitionnels et Rôles Ambigus.
Bande de Cinq
Aucun joueur ne peut contrôler plus de 5 Rôles. Un Méchant et un Héros ne peuvent pas faire partie de la même Bande de Cinq (sauf quand Guerre contre Keter est en jeu).
Soutiens
Certains Rôles sont des Soutiens. Cela signifie que quand vous en jouez un, vous devez choisir un Rôle non-Soutien que vous contrôlez et qui devient son Chef. Vous ne pouvez pas jouer de Soutien si vous ne contrôlez pas de Rôle non-Soutien.
Un Chef ne peut pas être ciblé par un adversaire tant qu'un Soutien le soutient.
Si pour une quelconque raison, un Chef devait quitter le jeu alors qu'il a toujours un Soutien, ce Soutien ne serait alors plus considérer comme un Soutien (les cartes qui font référence à un Soutien ne lui ferait plus réfénrece, et les cartes qui font référence à un non-Soutien lui ferait alors référence).
Catégorie
Les Rôles sont rangés par Catégories. Il y a trois Catégories : Combie, Magie, Fourberie.
Certaines cartes Action ne peuvent être jouées que si vous contrôlez un Rôle d'une certaine Catégorie. Ce Rôle est désigné comme le Lanceur de l'Action. Par exemple, Vision ne peut être jouée que si vous contrôlez un Rôle Magie, et Forteresse Volante que si vous contrôlez un Méchant Magie.
Rôles Transitionnels et Ambigus
Ce sont des Rôles qui ne sont ni des Méchants ni des Héros, et qui peuvent faire partie de n'importe quelle Bande de Cinq.
Règles Simplifiées : Vous ne jouez pas avec les Rôles Transitionnels (mais vous jouez avec le Rôle Ambigu).
Si vous contrôlez un Rôle Transitionnel, vous devez le sacrifier quand vous jouez un Rôle non-Transitionnel de la même Catégorie (Combat, Magie, Fourberie).
Aspects
Les Aspects sont des compétences qu'un Rôle a. La plupart des Rôles arrivent en jeu avec un ou deux Aspects déjà disponibles.
Activer un Aspect
Quand un Rôle active un de ses Aspects déjà en jeu, mettez un marqueur dessus. Chaque joueur retire les marqueurs sur ses Aspects au début de son tour. Un Rôle ne peut activer un de ses Aspects que quand aucun de ses Aspects n'a de marqueur. Vous pouvez activer un Aspect en jeu comme une Reaction, même quand ce n'est pas votre tour, si cet Aspect a "(R) dans son nom.
Jouer une carte Aspect
Règles Simplifiées : Vous ne jouez pas avec les cartes Aspects.
Une carte Aspect :
- peut être jouée si sa Condition est remplie.
- peut toujours être jouée comme une Reaction, même quand ce n'est pas votre tour.
- doit être jouée attachée à un Rôle Eligible.
- produit son Effet quand elle est jouée.
Chaque Rôle peut avoir au maximum 3 Aspects.
Quand vous jouez une carte Aspect, faire son Effet met un marqueur dessus, mais vous pouvez toujours activer un Aspect que votre Rôle avait déjà. Vous pouvez jouer une carte Aspect sur un Rôle, même si il y a un marqueur sur un de ses Aspects.
Cependant, vous ne pouvez activer un Aspect que si vous l'avez joué durant ou avant votre préédent tour.
Titre
Règles Simplifiées : Vous ne jouez pas avec les Titres.
Un Titre ne peut pas être joué, à l'exception de Duc.hesse des Nuits Sans Lune. Ils ne peuvent être mis en jeu qu'avec l'Histoire Béni par les Anges, Couronnée d'Effroi ou (Ré)apparition d'un Nouveau Nom. Ils sont associés à un Rôle, et quand ce Rôle quitte le jeu, ils doivent être sacrifiés à l'exception de Elu de la Contrition qui devient une Chose - Epée quand William quitte le jeu.
Quand vous jouez un Histoire qui met un Titre en jeu, regardez dans le paquet secondaire des Titres Précis pour mettre en jeu un des Titres correspondants, en fonction du Rôle à titrer.
Cartes spéciales
Certaines cartes fonctionnent de manière très particulière. Comme leur texte est trop long, il est écrit ici et seulement résumé sur la carte.
Règle de Trois
La carte Histoire Règle de Trois.
Condition:
- Jouez cette carte en réaction quand un de vos Rôles est détruit par un adversaire.
- Vous devez toujours contrôler au moins un Rôle.
- Il ne peut pas y avoir plusieurs Règle de Trois llant les deux mêmes joueurs.
Effet:
Quand vous la jouez:
- mettez un marqueur dessus.
- Cette Histoire est liéeà l'adversaire mentionné dans la Condition. Il est désigné comme l'adversaire lié.
Tant qu'il y a exactement 2 marqueurs dessus:
- Si vous détruisez un des Rôles de l'adversaire lié ou s'il détruit l'un des vôtres, sacrifiez cette carte.
- Après avoir joué cette carte, attendez que tous les joueurs aient joué un tour avant de retirer un marqueur.
Tant qu'il y a exactement 1 marqueur dessus:
- L'adversaire lié ne peut détruire aucun de vos Rôles.
- Quand vous détruisez un Rôle de l'adversire lié, retirez le dernier marqueur de cette carte.
