To import this deck into the Dvorak MUSH Engine, just cut and paste the quoted commands below straight into your telnet window. (Any card whose type is neither "Thing" nor "Action" will default to "Thing"; if it was somehow meant to be played like an Action, just destroy it after playing it.)
cleardeck loadcard hw/Card Types/Basic Rule/Dvorak is played entirely with cards, and there are just two types of card - Things and Actions. ("The type appears where this card says "Basic Rule". %r The card's name appears where this card says "Card Types".") loadcard hb/Things/Basic Rule/When you play a Thing card, it goes onto the table in front of you and stays there, usually having a useful effect while it remains in play. loadcard hr/Actions/Basic Rule/When you play an Action card, it does whatever it does and goes to a discard pile. loadcard hw/Start of Game/Basic Rule/Take the deck of cards, shuffle it, and deal five cards to each player (which they hold in their hand where other players can't see). The rest of the cards go in the middle of the table as a face-down draw pile. %rStarting with a random player, you take turns in order. loadcard hw/Turns/Basic Rule/A turn consists of:- %r * Drawing the top card from the draw pile. * Playing up to one Thing and one Action from your hand (or just one of those, or no cards at all). * Checking your hand size; if you have more than five cards, discard down to five. loadcard hw/Discard Pile/Basic Rule/Whenever a card is discarded or destroyed, it goes into a face-up discard pile in the middle of the table. %r%rIf you try to draw, but the draw pile's empty, shuffle the discard pile and turn it over to make a new draw pile. loadcard hw/End of Game/Basic Rule/The game continues until somebody meets whatever victory condition the deck has. Some decks have fixed victory conditions by rule, while others have them written on a card - "you win the game if..." loadcard hw/Action Abilities/Advanced Rule/Some cards use "Action:" as shorthand for <i>"Each turn, instead of playing an Action card, you may..."</i>, which is called an "action ability", and still counts as an Action for the purposes any other cards that affect or react to Actions being played. @emit [name(%#)] pastes the Basic Rules Deck into the Dvorak Engine.
