Special Rules
Areas
"Areas" are portions of the world. When any player draws an area card, that card is immediately played in the center of the table and the player draws again. Areas always remain in the center of the table unless they are destroyed.
"Special Areas" can only be affected by cards the specifically mention "Special Area."
Influence
"Influence" represents general control of an area, be it political, military or otherwise. Each player should have a unique set of counters to distinguish his or her influence from other players.
Each area has a maximum influence which is the total number of influence counters that can be played in that area. When the maximum is exceeded, somebody's got to go. The owner of the new counters may remove whomever's counters he wishes or is able to (even his own).
The winner is the first player to possess a majority influence over a pre-agreed-upon portion of the areas in play, i.e. 2/3 rounded up. (The actual number of areas in play can change during a game.)
