To play Dvorak: Draw five cards each and leave the rest as a draw pile. On your turn, draw a card from the draw pile and play one Thing and/or one Action. (See the full rules.)

For information about geocaching go to geocaching.com. This deck uses a lot of local lingo, so the card titles may not make sense to some people even if they know about geocaching.

Special Rules

You win by finding the cache.

If a card under your control says that you are immune to another card, no opponent may play that card on you.

Phases

There are 3 phases of play. Each player keeps track of which phase he is currently on. The three phases are as follows: - Driving - Hiking - Searching

When a player plays an obstacle, he plays it on another player who is on the phase stated on the card. If a player has an obstacle in front of them, no player may put another obstacle on them for as long as that player has an obstacle in front of them.

No player may have two of the same card in front of them at any time.

No player may change phases or find a cache for any reason if they have an obstacle in front of them.

When a player changes phases, all phase-specific remedies under his control are destroyed.

The cards are divided into the phases that they are played in.


Driving Phase

No Parking

Driving obstacle.
Parking Coordinates
Thing
Driving remedy. You are immune to No Parking. When you play this card, destroy "No Parking".
Traffic
Thing
Driving obstacle.
Rerouting
Action
Destroy "Traffic" and/or "Mapsourcing" if one or both are under your control.
Mapsourcing

Driving obstacle.
Familiar Area
Thing
Driving remedy. You are immune to "Mapsourcing". Action: Destroy any driving obstacle in front of you.
Park 'n Grab
Thing
This card may only be played if all players are on the driving phase. When a player legally plays "Parked", he moves to the searching phase instead of the hiking phase.
Parked
Action
Move to the hiking phase if you are currently on the driving phase.


Hiking Phase

Searching Phase

Expand Your Search
Action
Destroy "Bad Coordinates" and/or "Poor Reception" if one or both are in front of you.
The Geocaching Hotline

Searching remedy. You are immune to "Bad Coordinates", "Poor Reception", and "Lost Reception". When you play this card, the next player flips a coin. If heads, he may search the deck for "Missing Container" and play it immediately. Action: Search the deck for "Cha-Ching!" and put it in your hand.
Hints

Searching remedy. You are immune to "Bad Coordinates" and "Poor Reception". Action: Search the deck and discard pile for "Expand Your Search" and play it.
Muggles
Thing
Searching obstacle. No player may play any cards except "Moving On" and "Distraction" if they are on the searching phase, and no player may "Arrival at GZ" regardless of the phase they are on. Any player in the searching phase may take an action to search the deck for "Moving On" and play it.
Moving On
Action
Destroy "Muggles".
Distraction
Thing
Play this card on "Muggles" and treat the text of "Muggles" as blank. Destroy this card at the beginning of your next turn.
Secluded Area
Thing
Searching remedy. All players are immune to "Muggles".
Cha-Ching!
Action
If you are currently in the searching phase, you have found the cache.


Any Phase

Lost Reception
Action
Your opponent must skip his next turn.
Multiple Units
Thing
You are immune to "Lost Reception".
Sabotage
Action
Discard either one card in front of an opponent or one random card in an opponent's hand.
Trading
Action
Look at an opponent's hand. Take one card and put it in your hand. That opponent then looks at your hand. He takes one card (other than the card you took from him) and puts it in his hand.
Missing Container
Action
Destroy all Things except "Multiple Units", and all players must go to the driving phase. Shuffle the discard pile into the draw pile.
Recycle
Action
Discard any number of cards from your hand. Search the discard pile and take X cards, where X is the number of cards you discarded.
